It wasnt necessarily the sense of him making fun of me directly. I had asked the BWBK promotor if I was able to get a copy of the video that they shot on 3 cameras, if I got permission from Warrel. Seeing that it WAS my first Nevermore show, and I got on stage and sang a line of Sound of Silence with Warrel. He called Jeff over (who was walking by), and promptly said "hahahaha hey Jeff, this kid wants to bootleg you" and they both laughed their asses off at my expense. I had half a mind to say "I already DID bootleg them the night before, I just want the video." All-in-all, my favorite guitarist made me feel like shit

well i wasn't there but it seems to me they didn't mean it in any mean or malicious way, maybe they just thought it was funny or they were a bit more extrovert because of too much drinking?

I had a similar experience with another member of NM. I know that to this day....I just cringe with utter humilation. It was less than a minute, and it had more than a lasting impression on me. I totally understand where you're coming from with this quote.

Musicians may talk to hundreds of people at any given show. But, you as a fan, that may be the ONLY musician you've talked to....or asked anything from--ever. Or it may be the one musician that you'd rather connect with, and they don't realize that. They're tired, drunk, worn out, wanna go party, or don't have time. Either way, no matter what the request is, it's best to stay polite, because the musician may have just burned one of their best supporters.

Well that sucks! It makes me wanna make a sign out of that and hold it up ala Wile E Coyote style at the show im attending...hmmm sounds like a good idea...I know WD would laugh...Ive talked to many musicians in my day..they werent all very famous or anything but there is a sort of way of going about doing that...My thing was giving the bands either props or constructive critizism...if one of the musicians gets all anal about the latter it goes to show they dont know how to either laugh at themselves or they are just too full of themselves...If Jeff cant laugh at himself, theres a problem...
