I'm one of the very people who flew from israel to austria to attend the Nova Rock festival. One of the highlights of the event, at least for me, was the Opeth show. I've actually made the choice to fly to the festival after i wasn't able to get tickets for their show here.
However, when the show finally arrived, something really wired happend. After 40-60 minutes of the show, after playing deliverance, mikael said he "forgot to mention" that was the lost song of the show. Then he said he'll sing one more vocally, and then just sang "You fucking cunts" and the band left the stage.
Anybody has any idea what went on there? Why did the band leave the stage after such a short show? what was Mikael cursing the audience? i admit it wasn't the best crowed ever, but i was certainly enjoying the show myself. I'm very curious what is the reason for all of this.
