For the last 6 months or so I've been on a massive classical music binge, starring Sergei Rachmaninoff. I reckon The Isle of the Dead is the most evocative piece of music I've ever heard. I didn't think it was possible to cram that much atmosphere into music. The tension and release of the climaxes is just amazing. I'm listening again now for the umpteenth time and it's still getting my heart going.
