Been listening to Insomnium a bit more in recent weeks. The only disc I own from them is, Since the day it all came down, and just realized they have a more recent album out. I will have to check it out sometime soon.

I guess what I feel holds Insomnium back is their tendency to lean on the melodic death metal formula a bit much (i.e. In Flames). Which is unfortunate because what they do outside of that, is actually quite extraordinary.
