I'm going to go on quality of music first, and performance second. You can use the history link to line up the bands. Kamelot v. Pain of Salvation (Kamelot for music, Pain of Salvation for performance)
Edguy v. Weapons of Mass Destruction (Edguy for both... only cuz earlier Sava and Oliva side projects don't do much for me)

Circus Maximus v. Symphorce (Circus Maximus by far, Symphorce is like a Brainstorm that sucks)

Angra v. Stratovarius (Angra for both!... this was my favorite Prog Power performance ever!!! God I loved this set!!!!)

Savage Circus v. Vision Divine (Vision Divine, only because they have a more extensive catalog)
Freak Kitchen v. Thunderstone (Thunderstone... Freak Kitchen write some good songs... but unfortunately some real shit bombs like "Look Bored"... yutch)
Mercenary v. Epica (Epica are a poor man's Therion... but I could never get into Mercenary (a poor man's Soilwork) at all... so Epica maybe)
Evergrey v. Nevermore (Evergrey by a hair... especially if this new album prooves to be any good... any comments on it Glenn? ehhhhh?)
