now that's pretty impressive (guitar VSTi)

The Gibson/Fender/PRS are not that interesting...the acoustics works well because its not distorted and no heavy palm muting metal rythm guitar..its more like a piano with a lot more articulations (at least i would guess)

i'm testing FL right now... the funny thing is you can't re-open your saved project BUT you can create or import any midi file, edit and EXPORT the edited midi track as a midi file again wich can either be re-imported in FL or any other software :D So when i would use FL just for editing i could stay with the demo. But makes only sense if FL is really better in midi editing than cubase.
I'm a bit confused about the difference between the playlist and step sequencer and how i can open more than one track in the piano roll. In cubase i can mark ervery midi track and when i open the piano roll i see every note from every track..

sorry for hijacking :S

the pattern/step sequencer allows to create melodies/grooves/parts etc.
in the playlist you can put these parts together.

not sure about the other things^^

ok...this loop based thing is a bit confusing when you come from cubase^^

the ample website says the demo is fully running for 7 days..but i can't find the download. There is only the M Lite version. But that seems not to be the demo because its not time limited but fret limited. Am i blind?^^

yeah it seems like only the MAC version is the full demo. the good thing is,
the license is transferable so if you do not like it, it can be sold.
there will also be a BASS available soon, really stoked about this!

Too bad, i don't want to setup a hackintosh just to demo the full version :D
An acoustic or electric bass?
I had a look at the manual / spec info. You can downtune the guitars 2 steps...unfortunately i write most songs in Drop C or Drop B and also use the lowest string on clean parts..

i´m fideling around with the demo/lite version for 2 days now, this is pretty fun, though my attempts sounds by far not as good as on all those sample tracks, lol..i´m afraid those will require very intense programming skills..and of course the full version...still not decided if i should buy it or not, hmmm ;)
