NYC area peeps: Anthrax (reunion lineup) playing Nokia Theatre, Sat. Jan. 7, 2006

most likely will join you ... after seeing the new DVD ... I am sold on this reunion. Joey still eats Bush (pun intended) for breakfast

Aurel, I have nothing but positive reviews for this new Nokia Theatre as well. It's REALLY nice (maybe too nice for a metal show, heh).

A big open floor, then a raised open floor area in the middle, then sloping seats behind that. All GA, so we can each buy our tickets whenever we feel like it and not have to be concerned with sitting together or whatnot.

when they were here with gigantour and with megadave they played 1 song off fistfull, that umm... efilnickufecin, I am the Law and 2 others, just can't remember which ones.

They probably would have played more, but they had short sets (30 for giantour, 45 for megadave) I think they played 2 off fistful with megadave.

looking at the Nokia website, the venue is only 2100 capacity ... I am pretty sure this will sell out quick. so if we go, we need to get tickets in the next few weeks.

Yeah, I saw Bad Religion & Pennywise last night, they sold it out. Anthrax won't have any trouble selling it out in their hometown, that's for sure. Agreed that we should definitely get tickets within the next couple weeks.

Just need to find out if Ali and Zod want to go, maybe Jason will come up from Philly. Ali almost definitely wants to go, I spoke to him this weekend. Not sure about the others.

i saw anthrax at least 3-4 times in their prime ... they are a fun band live.
we should have a jolly drunken time if everyone comes down.

Yeah, it definitely is. I feel ya.

TULLY, FWIW, the setlist off their new Alive 2 DVD (which is an entire concert recorded on June 3, 2005), was:

Among the Living
Caught in a Mosh
A.I.R.
Madhouse
Efilnikufesin (N.F.L.)
Deathrider
Medusa
In My World
Indians
Time
I'm the Man
Be All End All
I Am the Law

That's pretty much a dream setlist for me, don't know if it was "special" because they knew they were recording a DVD or not. The only songs I'd like to add to it are Now It's Dark and Armed & Dangerous.

well, they have stated that they do not play anything after Persistance ... so regardless ... fuck ... Times Square, NY ... you know they will bring out all the classics.

Among the Living
Caught in a Mosh
Efilnikufesin (N.F.L.)
Deathrider
Medusa
Spreading the Disease
Indians
Time
I Am the Law

Thats basically what they played the two times they were hear, I'm not sure on order, i was drunk.
