I just heard a new track 'Imperium' from their new record, and let me tell you people, it is fucking amazing.

The shitty memories of their last record are gone already - if the new record continues like this new slab it will be Burn My Eyes Mk. II.

I was just about to start a thread about this song. It's fucking incredible, already my new favorite Machine Head song. I was also able to get another new song called "All Falls Down" and it sounds great too. New album already sounds like it will be one of the best metal albums of the year.

I liked Supercharger. Why do people always want Burn My Eyes 2, Or Rust in Peace 2 or Among the Living 2. I like to see growth or change, progression. Wouldnt it suck if musicians never evolved? Why we would be on Burn My Eyes 4. And Fistful Of metal 8 or 9 or whatever. Just my opinion.

I don't necessarily want BME 2 either, but it's hard to argue that Machine Head have since delivered an album with the intensity or brutality of BME.

Don't get me wrong - they're like my 2nd fave band and I love all their records (including Supercharger), but the new material just seems to capture some of the flavour of BME, which I think is pretty fucking exciting.

The Burning Red I thought was awesome but a lot of people didnt like it cause they thought Rob started rapping on it. He wasnt really anyways. Great cd.

I agree with Cincy! But anyway I don't like Supercharger very much, as well as Burn My Eyes(except of Davidian, I find the rest quite boring). My most fave MH CDs are The More Things Change... and Burning Red.

Those short bursts of clean vocal sound bad in Imperium, but otherwise its pretty good. I think the same goes with the rest of the cd, i'm giving it a second chance now.

I agree...although their 3rd CD "The Burning Red" was good, but too rappy(is that a word?), I did like Supercharger alot. I am glad, however, that they are making another metal record (with SOLOS....hint hint) and the 2 tracks that I have heard are amazing. Machine Head fan for life.
