NEW YORK - Forget "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" - it's "Late Night With U2."

O'Brien will turn over his entire show Thursday to U2.

The show has never devoted itself entirely to a musical guest, although it once gave major time for a holiday appearance by Bruce Springsteen.

O'Brien is a U2 fan and made personal connections talking at length with Bono during breaks in rehearsals at their "Saturday Night Live" performance last year.

Jim Pitt, who's in charge of booking musical guests for the show, says he's not pushing for U2 to play anything in particular.

"When U2 decides they want to come on the show for an hour, you don't get too picky about what they play," he said.
