Wenny and I were talking about the lack of big bands last night. Things just aren't the same now. Guns n' Roses were absolutely fucking massive, but there's no band now that even approaches that level. Pop rock like U2 doesn't count....

Coldplay and that are big and all, but I can't see a project of any band members other than the singer being successful in the future, just because they were in Coldplay.

Look at Velvet Revolver - fastest or biggest selling debut in Soundscan history or something, just because it was former members of Guns N Roses. Guns N Roses Greatest Hits going number 1 in how many countries? They haven't put out anything apart from 1 cover and 1 original (FUCKING AWESOME) song since 93!

Yeah, but Metallica are already established... it took them many albums to build up to what they became, just with U2.

Gunners were ginormous from the get go, as were Oasis.
