of pineapples, love, and neglect

the whole style in writing, the absurdity (not the main theme itself, but how it´s handled) and the connection of topics :erk: It strongly reminds me of John Updike and his fellas and this literature is something I don´t want to have any contact to anymore :ill: :yell:
i never read john updike, if that is some sort of consolation for you. ;)
i simply like associating topics that have very little to do with one another, as it makes for stimulating metaphors and connections. there's nothing really deep to get about the whole thing, except maybe that i like pineapples a lot. it's merely an occasion to post free musings about disparate topics. so what if i'm being ironic about it? after all i'm being ironic about everything, it's my most manifest survival trait.

hm. I think the other way round. If there are interesting different topics, I try to find out similarities and make a connection. It seems that it would be just the same as you said, but it´s not. Because the connections were there before I found them. :)
So throwing together something that appears to have really no connection, irritates me and makes important topics to something profane.
;)

i can settle for "what" if you're having trouble with rep, you know...

but i am profane and rebellious and unpleasant. :erk: sowwy. let's say i find difficulties in being too scholarly when it comes to associations of subject. if this topic upsets you, you can rip it apart though, and just discuss pineapples, or love, or neglect. i'd go for pineapples, mind you.

pineapple is ananas in finnish. ananas! i love that word! it's so soothing, has a really nice tone. ananas. now everyone repeat the word over and over again. ananas..ananas..ananas.. <3 <3 <3

and just to get us all in the right mood:
