I just wanted to know what the hardcore prog/neoclassical crowd thought of the Axel Rudi Pell Band and specifically the Knight Treasures DVD. In addition to Prog, I like Megadeth, Iced Earth, and Iron Maiden. Would I like this DVD? I'm sorry to spam, but I would truly like opinions!

Well IMHO, Axel has awfully unmusical tone, terrible vibrato and songwriting skills to match. And he's still living in the 80s.

His singer sounds cool though.

anyone like Alex Masi? Hes just one of those 80's players that just never stopped progressing in music, now hes doing all classical stuff, pritty sweet...cant wait to hear his new Mozart album.

Most metal bands have cheesy lyrics. But if your solos have such an inexistent point as Axel's you really have to rethink.

Listen to 'the Clown is dead'. Did you fell like you knew every next note? Exactly.

If you have an album called "The Ballads: Volume II," you might have too many ballads.
