I only have the mp3 files and a 7" with three excerpts, the official release will be on May 6th (the Prophecy site still says 'April 29th', but according to the latest ads there's a slight delay).
Weiland is excellent, to say the least, and it's not always/only based on the beauty of simplicity like its predecessor. I mean it's still the work of a minimalist, but drums, strings and the harsh vocal part in the new version of "Die Schwäne Im Schilf", for example, are very refreshing and a pleasure to hear, while the second chapter "Waldpoesie" is just a fucking masterpiece.
To be honest, I hoped for the "return of the riff" 'cause I love Songs Of Moors & Misty Fields even more than Where At Night..., but it seems that no-one goes back to the roots except for My old-fashioned Dying Bride
I can only recommend Weiland. It's dark romanticism driven to its fullest extent, and since this is going to be the last output of Empyrium, we (the fans) have no choice anyway
