goddd i want to go so bad. maybe i will try to save up the money for 2010. highly doubt it though, seeing 2009 sold out in late 2008

but what have been the best years in your guy's opinions? i think 2008 wouldve been amazing to go to

2007 and 2008 were pretty fantastic and I went to both. But the best lineup I've seen is probably 2005:

Hammerfall, Edguy, Kreator, Overkill, Dissection, Machine Head, Sonata Arctica, Bloodbath, Finntroll, Suffocation, Ensiferum, Turisas, Suidakra, Equilibrium. Daaaaaammmnn.

Then of course 2006 was pretty win too.

But unless the lineup next year is some unfathomably awesome pile of win then I'm pretty sure this year was my last Wacken, Metal Camp next year probably.

2006 was my first WACKEN but in all fairness I prefered 2008. 2005 did indeed look like a fucking fantastic lineup.

I seriously hope 2010 doesnt sell out as fast. Fuck buying a ticket before half the lineup is announced. Its alot of gold

Announcing Immortal as first band was a good start, imo. Im pretty sure ill go again next year


that being said, despite the rather shitty lineup, it was an epic wacken this year

actually its not to far away, last wacken sold out in december and thats only 4/5 months away

but horrible reason, jm. seeing as you have to be a realist and think about the fact that you probably wont even be together that long

So yeah I can't be fucked with Wacken anymore. Next year it's Bloodstock and Metal Camp for me.

Bloodstock this year was stupidly fucking good, best bands of the fest for me have to be Blind Guardian, Carcass, Katatonia, Amon Amarth and Kreator... Oh yeah and Europe just because of the circle pit and wall of death my friends and I started for Final Countdown
