I'm gonna get a new guitar soon, and I've been thinking about a couple of models..

http://ibanez.com/eg/guitar.aspx?m=SA120 (Ibanez SA120)

http://ibanez.com/eg/guitar.aspx?m=GRG170DX (Ibanez GRG170DX)

http://www.cort.co.kr/english/products/common/view.asp?product_id=131 (Cort X-6)

http://jacksonguitars.com/products/search.php?partno=2900012503 (Jackson JS30DK Dinky)

Those are a couple of options I've thought of.
About an amplifier, I thought about:
Roland cube 15X
Marshall MG15cd
marshall MG15DFX

(I can't tell you about prices, cause I live in israel and prices in shekels wouldn't help you all alot :p)

So, which of this guitars would you personally recommend the most? And do you have any other propositions for guitars at this price range?

Thank you very much, Nadav Nazarathy:kickass:

thought about les paul? or Fender stratocaster? not sure about the cost..
try looking at www.yad2.co.il a friend of mine bought an all-new pedal there for only 300 shekels...

haven't played any of those guitars, but i do own an ibanez RG and it is a damn nice guitar. Ibanez are generally similar to fender in feel as they have slim necks and the body design is similar (atleast in teh RG series) but it is most definately a metal guitar. If you are playing metal then youd be good to go with an ibanez, but if you want a more all round guitar then you may wanna look elsewhere.

Your selections look to be metal guitars so im guessing thats your sole interest, but I would definately suggest ibanez if you want nice metal tone and killer distortion.

One other thing i can suggest tho, is that to be sure of trying out the instrument before you buy.. Doing research is great, but what is really the most important part is how well it feels. You can get all these great reviews of guitars and then buy the guitar w/o ever trying it out, and then turn around and hate the instrument. Make sure you know what to look for. Look at things like neck width, body design, whether you want a through body neck or neck joint, tuning pegs, aesthetic appeal, whammy bar, etc. Itll really make your choice worthwhile in the end.

Sorry, one last thing. After looking at teh Ibanez GRG you have up there, it is almost the exact replica of my RG, and ill tell you its a beautiful guitar. The design/feel is perfect for me, and the inlays on the frets are really cool imo. GL with finding something you like!

heres somethign just for ure consideration : http://www.rondomusic.net/ag3500.html

Im a proud owner of a Agile 2500 .......tehse thigns are half the price and play and feel jsut as good......thsoe IBANEZ u got there.....look relaly good....teh one I posted ...has active pickups....so ull have no trouble makin them babies scream...best of luck......PEAC EOUT

The GRG looks nice but it has a very... Metallic sound to it. Not metallic as in metall music, but it sounds almost like you're picking with a quarter even when you're using a pick. I've never plugged one in, but that's just my impression unplugged.

I'd go for the SA or the GRG, But you should also check out some Ltd/esp or Washburn:)

be carefull when choosing your guitar, and if possible get to try it out a bit first.

Also, be sure that the pickups are awesome!

Hey dudes :)

I eventually bought an SA260FM.

I tried the GRG370DX, and the sound of the SA260FM was kinda softer and more universal otherwise than the GRG370DX which had rough sound and the cleans didn't fit me.

So, I have it and am happy with it alot !

Thx a LOT guys!:kickass:
