OLD collaboration rumor

I know about 3 years ago a few people told me that James Murphy and John Petrucci of Dream Theater were going to collaborate on something together. Not the working man Rush tribute cd but close to a Howe & Kotzen kinda thing. It sounded like an amazing idea but I never got a answer from anyone who really knew so I figured I'd ask James here if anything ever happened, like if they wrote stuff together.

in 1998 a cd called "explorers club- age of impact " came out. that has james and john playing guitar on it.

Just to clarify, the only times John and I collaborated were on the Rush tribute and the Explorer's Club "Age of Impact" disk. I was honored to play on those projects with him!
