One of the great doom albums that almost never gets mentioned 'round here...

Such an astounding album... two violin players... heavy death-doom... 70s guitar licks... groovy stoner-ish tracks... mournful dirges... Probably one of the most eclectically-cohesive albums in metal history. Never a dull moment, this one just oozes class and precision. Oh, and the cover of Ultravox's "Vienna" is one of the true great covers of all time (I can't believe I forgot about it in that one thread).

Anyone dig?

You're tempting me. I'm sure I had heard some stuff off this loooooong ago but I can't recall my reaction back then. Maybe you could indulge us with one or two excerpts??

I totally dig this album.. about the only one of theirs I'd been able to get into. I found their doom album before it pretty bland on the single (or less) listen I had a chance to give it, and their stoner stuff post this album never caught my interest either.
