Holy shit dudes listen to this guy play Maichael Angelo.

I have heard 5 songs from MP3 from him and thought that he was one really fast yet melodic shredder but never thought he was this fast.

Go to www.angelo.com then go to sound clips and downlaod Time Travler solo. SHITT!!! this is probbably the fastest picking and playing I've heard. Listen to those wide-interval arpeggios at the end !!!!!!!

I know speed isn't everything and normally he plays with alot of melody but listen to this- It just makes me want to cry and quit playing guitar!:waah:(not seriously):p

He is great on his own solo stuff, I have Tadition, No Boundries and Planet Gemini all mass shreddable great stuff there, No Boundries is my favorite. I heard some of the old Nitro stuff and it was way way to over the top for me, was there anything ever good about Nitro?

Bear

NP: Chinchilla - War Machine

Nitro was hillarious.
Jim Gillete's hair, makeup, cloths!! hahahahahahaahaha! 80's as 80's gets!

He is an amazing guitarist for sure. I have a few clips of him playing off of his Speed Kills instructional video. He seems to use an echo effect on his studio albums (very prominent in No Boundaries) that makes him sound faster though. On the video clips he doesn't use this so he is still frighteningly fast though, especially when he starts doing that ambidextrous stuff.

I remember this guy from back in the 80's. A friend of mine had the album O.F.R. and thought the band was great. I hated them! I thought the music and everything about it was awful! But to be fair to the guy (as I'm sure he's matured from that) I listened to about 4 clips off his website and the only 1 I found at all interesting was the one titled "Prog Revisited". The solo for "Time Traveler" is awful!!! It's nothing but speed and doesn't fit the rythm at all. It reminds me of some of Yngvai's really commercial stuff, where the music didn't support his solos. Just terrible! Yeah, the guy is fast, and he obviously has some ability to play intelligently, but the majority of his solos are just him showing off.

His double neck guitar looks ridiculous too!

Sorry, just my opinion.

Thats cool dude, everyone has an opinion. I wont chuck a spyche over it. I just never heard that speed like that before apart from Rusty Cooley (check him out.

He is sick as far as Guitar playing goes...but he insists on getting shitty singers and useing poorly programed/sounding drum machines...If this guy were to ever get a reall band with a great singer he'd rule

Sorry Yngvai! It's been a while since I've listened to any "Yngvie" albums so I didn't remember the correct spelling of his name. I just assumed your user name was sort of a tribute to him, so I copied your spelling.

I'm sorry, but MAB is possibly the most boring guitarist I have heard. If you like his stuff, well then more power to ya. IMO, all he is good for is aimlessly shredding.

no biggie. Its just I see people saying my handle (a "clever" combination of Yngwie and Steve Vai...actually a name I made up trying to describe Romeo to someone - He plays neoclassical but uses a lot of tapping and legato so hes kind of like an Yngvai hehehehe) when they mean Yngwie quite a few times. I think its funny tho, I say to myself "wow, why do people think Im such an arrogant fat prick shredder?" ;)

Yngvai, you gotta remember that Yngwie is pronounced "Ing-Veh", which is very close to "Ing-Vai". Hence, I understand the confusion some folks are having. I intentionally mispronouce his name as "In-Gwee", just cuz it doesn't sound as cool.

I also pronouce Michael Romeo as "Row-meh-o" instead of "Row-mee-o", I just think it sounds a little better for a guitarist.

Well, Romeo is Italian name anyway, so originally it is pronounced as Ro-me-o.

Anyone noticed that shred scene is packed with Italians? Romeo, Vai, Angelo, Petrucci, Satriani, Impellitteri...
Being a shredder is almost like some kind of a "Cosa Nostra" thing. j/k

Not very impressed. Sure he can play fast, but that's about all he can do. What he should do is tune his guitar and then start playing to a metronome to learn some timing.
