That was awesome!
Dare I say that Lars could learn a thing or two on how to properly play a Metallica song?![]()
The Lars Law: If any mention, even if a far distant mention, of Metallica occurs in a thread or conversation, somebody will bash Metallica, typically Lars, within 3 posts, or 2 minutes.
Not bashing Metallica at all. I love Metallica. Lars is one of the few, maybe the only musician I can think of whose ability to play has actually regressed over the years. I'm not talking singers either, obviously a persons voice will change over time. I'm referring to Lars' technical ability to play his own songs.
Yea, the last album I really loved Lars on was Master of Puppets. MOP and RTL I think have the best Lars performances on them. While Lars has never been a technical drummer. There's some good power drumming happening on those 2 albums that fit very well with the music.
On a side note, that 6 year old drummer is pretty amazing. I'm not a religious person, but when someone is born with a gift and coordination like that , it does make me believe in something much more powerful working in the universe than we quite don't have an understanding of..... I can't believe how focused he is at that age....

Or that his parents spent a nice chunk of change on equipment when they saw he liked to bang on things. Don't underestimate practicing. He just happened to start at a much younger age than most people. I doubt he started out that good, but with practice, we have a 6 year old who can play very, very well.
The kid has 66 videos (songs) in his online "portfolio." At what age would he have had to start practicing to learn all those songs?
