I'd love to hear what some of the Amp Sim guys here could do to this:worship:

Some Acme Bar Gig sims, the 8505 sim, and most definitely, the Engl sim of Ongel's would be bitchin patchs for this thing.

While I find the idea very interesting - if I understand it correctly you can only have one patch active on the device at any given time. So, for an investment of $300.00 it's essentially one preset (while that preset may be made up of several modules strung together) with minimal control capabilities on the actual device. Yes you can change items in the software loader and repatch, but still seams steep. Plus being honest - it's been arounf for a little while now and by looking at the forum for it, only the author has shown interest in creating modules. http://www.openstomp.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=6

I'm all for this sort of thing, but in it's current configuration and the interest level shown seems to be very minimal so far. I think a MIDI controller like the FCB1010 and a laptop/vst host would offer much more flexibility at this time. Or something like Matt has done here: http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/andy-sneap/538002-did-gig-8505-live-last-night.html

Just my observations - but I hope things progress as it is interesting at the least.
