I remember Bruce Dickinson saying that he listened to the demo of Operation Mindcrime and he was jelous and thought that was exactly what he wanted for "Seventh Son".
I bought it when it was first released. I remember listening to it for the first time with headphones on and reading every lyric. I was blown away! The concept just gripped me! Still a Queensryche fan here, but nothing they have released since then has come even close! I still prefer the earlier recordings to anything else they've done to date. I'm still wishing Chris Degarmo would come back!
Mix is great, I don't get you guys telling is not that great.
Back in the 80's there was too much garbage mix wise, that was good because they didn't scoop the mids like all thrash metal bands, that was pure garbage even though I love the genre!
I still think Micheal Jackson Bad sounded more modern, fresh, "hifi" compared to 80's metal records who were dull.

When he got back few years ago he didn't bring anything good actually.
They're through with good music, they should listen to what Micheal Wilton wants to play. Unfortunately they don't listen so much to the only metal head in the band. They wanted to change style and make the garbage they're doing.
That's what I read in interviews.
One of fave albums of all time. Still listen to it daily. The production is PERFECT for what it is. The BASS is HUGE ... Eddie Jackson is a KILLER fucking bass player VERY underrated.
