Opeth Candle Tin discs

WTF?

I bought MAYH the other day. The only copy that the store had in stock was the limited edition candle tin thingos. What is the deal with them? They dont have a booklet or anything like that. Just had the disc and a black Opeth sticker. Can someone tell me a bit about why they were released and how many copies were made? Were they made for every album?

as far as I know, 2000 of each Orchid, Morningrise and MAYH were made, but I have no idea why.

Probably so Candlelight Records can make a little extra scrilla.

Or some may say candlelight just wants to make more money.

Either way, I think they're cool and it doesn't bother me they dont have a booklet (of course I have at least 1 other version of each CD).
