Opeth vs Solefald

Yea but a lot of the fans didn't like Damnation because it's really different. Therefore it's not a great album to judge the band on because it's not their normal sound.

I'd like to meet most of these Opeth fans who don't like Damnation. I've never heard a single fan of the band say they didn't like it.

I didn't like Damnation. I liked the IDEA, but thought it was rather poor in execution.

As for Solefald, I still like their newer stuff but it's been pretty inconsistent. In Harmonia Universali is an amazing album though. I haven't heard Linear Scaffold yet.
