Opinion about the New Metallica Logo and Cover?

Judging by the advance press, the band is in the position where any semblance of their glory days, regardless of quality or motivation, would be welcomed after all the colossal disappointments...I'm reminded of Lars' quote about how he could make an album that millions of people hated but it would still go to number one, a dangerous position as it encourages complacency and stagnation...I predict that Forced Anger may be a more appropriate title...

I had the same reaction as most. The new logo looks great, but the album cover is damn weak.

I liked the new logo but the cover is awnful; it also remind like Sepultura Nation...I was specting a kille skull or something better...

meh...pretty weak everything....but then again metallica has been pretty weak now-a-days and i realy haven't expected anything good after i heard load...i say we go back in time and clone them when they just released "MASTER OF PUPPETS". and everytime they start to suck we kill them and clone them again... and then let the cycle continue!!!!

Metallica what are you doing to yourself. First you let your music slide and now this. Are things that good that you have to distroy yourself for sumthing to do.Does this happen when your doing metal for to long,i have nearly lost all faith in you

well Lars never was the best drummer if you look at pure talent...he fits Metallica really well,but there's a ton of better drummers than him. Vinnie Paul,Lombardo,Christy,Portnoy etc. beat the shit out of him. But I wouldn't still want to see any of those guys in Metallica...
