Opinion on Metal mix

[Mendel]

hey guys ! i recorded a bit of bobby's song called "demise" by myself and wanted to know how good i could mix it.

guitars are done with podxt

drums DFH2, drumkick is from andy sneap.

bass = edirols superquartet 6 sring bass.

that kick sounds way too clicky for me, and sounds too quick and drummachine like

bob's original sounds better as the kick's are lower down in the mix and less clicky

Did you ever try reason's clawfinger bass?? i think it should help the bass a bit.. it's good as it is, but the clawfinger bass is pure filth and can really add quite a bit to the mix!

The reverb on the snare might be a bit too much yeah.. try pulling the decay down to 1.0 or just beneath that.. dont forget to mix dry with wet.. i prefer dry.. haha..

anyway cool mix man! it's agressive... it's hard hitting... and i like the preview as well.. can't wait to hear the whole half hour song!
