Opinions on this mix? Metalcore

This is my second paid job. I really need some outside opinions on this one. The mix has been very challenging for me. For some reason the guitars just wouldnt sit.

The levels are quite messed up IMO - rhythm guitars being too quiet (and actually quite dry, and they lack of gain - horribly "clean") and synths too.

Also the vocals are too karaoke-y in sense that they sit on top of the mix in an unpleasant way and the clean vox lack of character and edginess - maybe the vocalists fault.
Add some delay and reverb to make the vocals fit a bit better.

The drums could also benefit of some heavily compressed room sounds and reverb in general. The bass is even, but a bit fluffy. You could duplicate it and heavily saturate and hipass the duplicate.

If you have guitar DI's fix the guitar sound, it needs more gain and body.

Thanks for the advice man! I upped the preamp gain on the guitars a bit. As for the synths, the band requested that I make them quieter.

I worked on the vocals quite a bit! Tell me what you think now.

A little better, just increase the volume a tad. Also work on the drums to make them more punchy and realistic.

And if they want the synths quieter, they're the boss - it was just an observation from the listeners position!
