Ordering Cds

Since we get !0% off from the end records, i figured i use some birthday cash and buy cds....now i have a large list...and want to cut off about half...but i dont mind adding some either...can anyone tell me what they think of some of the cds, or maybe if theres a better cd by that particular band that i should get instead? thanks

I wouldn't buy "Freedom Call: Stairway to Fairyland". A friend of mine is a great Freedom Call fan, so I know all their 3 albums, I must say Stairway is their weakest. Eternity is probably their best album. (But on Crystal Empire is the song "the Quest", which I like best of all, but that's only my opinion ....)

The Finntroll and Children of Bodom releases are both damn good although Alexi and company kind of rip off Stratovarius with the War of Razors song.

go for symphony x, pete! any album with any version of "of sins and shadows" on it is worth buying.

Finntroll is the only thing in that list that I've ever owned. It wasn't quite my thing, though I admit it was pretty good. I did give it away to a friend though.

No comments on anything else though.

Get the Finntroll.. Great Finnish folk-metal. Ensiferum too, same type of band. Other than that, stick with the Syphony X and Suidakra.

Um... only heard 1 or 2 of those albums...

i must say that Finntroll is a little overrated, 1 memorable song 2-3 other decent songs but the rest is like "????"...

Their first release was alot bette,r ubt too short, under 30 minutes...

I can get my CD's usually for 6-10$

I tend to get around alot on Trade Boards and befrined a good amount of people... that's how I started here.

But here's a few guys I know/trade with..

Martin - Centinex
Ron - Aurora Borealis
Jason - ex-Dying Fetus/Misery Index

and i know a bunch more just too lazy to make a huge list... I tend to contact alot of bands and I actually know a few people at some distro's too....
