Interesting as yesterday they announced free 128kbps mp3 downloads. You're just stuck using their player since they're DRM'd and won't play on anything else.

Because in Russia, that site was not illegal until this year. It was used by the same kind of people that use Apple's music store and similar ones.

Not exactly. AllOfMp3.com does not pay the artists. I fail to see how that is legal. The artists are protected by international copyright law.

It's one thing to pirate music. It's a whole other thing to pirate music and CHARGE for it.

What a load of crap. Nobody should be charging for pirated music. Either pay the artists, or pay no one. Paying some random Russian fuckwads who have nothing to do with music, for files you could easily obtain for free makes no sense. I don't understand how the site has gotten so popular, but I welcome any and all efforts to take them down by force.

It's different than a site like ThePirateBay or IsoHunt in the sense that these sites don't directly profit from music downloads. AllOfMp3.com is essentially selling stolen merchandise. Not fucking cool.

people use this website assuming it is a place like itunes
the majority of people who would buy music online from places like i tunes have no idea about sites like allofmp3.com and just think its a cheaper site as they are still paying for it
