For all of you on the East Coast of the US. With Hurricane Irene approaching a message to stay safe friends!

Thanks.
I live in New Hampshire, and I haven't really checked anything about it, so we'll see what happens I guess

Thanks. Was supposed to go with the fiance to do wedding stuff but that's out this weekend (I'm actually enjoying the wedding planning). I should have some new music arriving in the mail tomorrow which will keep me occupied this weekend.

Scooter, i am NOT looking forward to this. I know my cars will be parked around the corner and maybe this storm will clean out my oak trees a bit :D

People are assholes. Yesterday I stopped at Home Depot - only at the flash-light section there were at least 160 people and no flash-lights, just a few batteries were lying on the shelves. This is all media's fault, they make much a do about nothing.

But Thank you, Aliasp, for thinking of us.

I got very lucky on this storm. Only a brief loss of power in the middle of the night, and my oak trees made a big mess all over the street. Other than a small amount of water in my basement which i expected given the rain levels, We did okay. The only wire lost was a phone wire next block up.

I did see a few toppled trees and branches though. I hope other folks in the storm path were as okay as we were :)

Lesson learned, you should have already had all that stuff man!
Here in Houston, tropical weather is par for the course so most people have emergency supplies stocked up but a few flashlights should be standard in every residence.
Glad you're OK though, homie.

100% agree. You never know when you're gonna need it. Plus, I ran out of scotch right before the whole shit started - my fucking cat pushed the bottle off the table, and, I guess, the cork slipped out. Everything (a half of 1 L bottle) was gone... Or... Could it happen that the prick drank the whole thing right from the floor? I would...

I am pleased to say that I faired extremely well here in Pennsylvania. Lost power for about 1-1/2 hours right near the end of the storm. Not one other problem. Compared to some of the other crap that went down around here, I am blessed.
