Anyone from here gonna be at the Oliva show tomorrow at Bourbon Street? I'll be there with a couple of friends.

Raise the fist of the Metal Child...

Oh hell yeah! Bourbon Street is right by me. I went there today to get my tickets. I figured I would save the 10 bucks by geting our two tickets early. To bad I spent 20 bucks on beer while I was there!!!!!!! :loco:
See ya there, I should have my Weapons of Mass Destruction shirt on!

To say that last night show was AMAZING would be an understatement. The Mountain King made the songs sound even better than the studio versions and the crowd just added to the energy. The performance from the band sounded better and tighter than Progpower's. I even got to meet a couple of familiar faces from the progpower message boards... One of the many highlights was the extended version of Ghost in the Ruins, which added more shredding than you'd think is humanly possible... it rocked

It was worth the 5 hour drive to new port richey. Sorry for the low quality of the pictures :(

It was a great show! Jon and the band sounded awesome and to see 'Hounds' and 'Thorazine Shuffle' was a special treat! Jon mentioned he hadn't done 'Hounds' since Criss died. The version of 'Ghost in the Ruins" was unbelievable also. If ya get a chance don't miss these guys. More pics for you all.

It was indeed another great show by the Mountain King. His memory, on the other hand, may be slipping. When he said that he hadn't played Hounds in a long time, my friend looks at me and says, "Didn't they play Hounds at the Boomerz show in Dec.?" He dedicated it to Dimebag saying the Pantera guys were fans of Savatage, and Hounds was one of Dime's favorite Sava songs. All those years of hard living may have affected his memory, but certainly not his voice, which is in fine shape.

Hey Whisper, didn't see ya there. I seen BlindPanzer right at the end of the show right in front of the stage. Where were you hiding? Maybe Jon meant on this tour is the first time they played it? A guy on another forum said they played it over in Europe too. :loco: I don't care, it was a great show and I hope they play there again in the future.

I was back by the t-shirt table for First Born's set and then we moved up for JOP's set. We were standing at one of the tables right in front of Matt, about three people deep behind the rail. I had on my Alice Cooper Dragontown t-shirt and Lightning baseball cap.

I don't know if they were running short on time or what, but I was sure they would play Power of the Night in the encore. I think that was the first time I've ever seen Jon that he didn't do POTN. It was a great show and he has never sounded better, imo.

I wish I could be there! :) Killer set, as usual.. I saw them at the Boiler room at Boomerz last year and that show kicked ass!

But I missed the show for a good reason (I was in NY for Porcupine Tree)....
