OT - New label

Now that the contracts have been signed I can let you know about my new little venture called Elitist Records. The label will be a subsidiary of Earache Records, so therefore the CDs should be pretty easy to get hold of no matter where you are.

I'm presently negotiating with about 5 bands, three of which are confirmed verbally but have yet to sign the deals. I don't want to say who they are for fear of jinxing anything, but as a clue I have mentioned all three bands on the forums at some point or another.

Elitist will specialise in bands pushing the metal envelope, in terms of either sheer musical progression, cross-genre experimentation, symphonic bravado, etc. I want to sign bands who aren't afraid to experiment or who have honed their own sound so well that there's no need to. Basically, I want to sign bands that I like, and that's what it's all about at the end of the day.

As well as bands, I'm hoping to utilise any underground artistic talent. I'd rather not use the same tired routes for visuals, so I'm searching for aspiring designers and artists with an aesthetic eye and cutting edge ability.

If you need *anything* photographic, I'm game. Mind you, I couldn't very well go out and shoot a band thousands of miles away, but I can get abstracts, I can design.. mm.. bring it on

Hehe, but seriously.. if you do need anything that can be done from far, far away, (well.. I'm almost as close to you as a North American can get..) then let me know. It'd be my pleasure.

Are you only looking for freelance designers?

I've been in Design for early 3 years now (both print & web) and have been looking for a new job for a couple of months now.

Actually I'm even closer , and I live in North America , I have a friend that lives in Hallifax , actually many .
