When I started getting into heavy music, I listened to alot of Disturbed, some Limp Bizkit, MudVayne's LD 50...and even then I never liked Static X. Now I'm much more into bands like Arch Enemy, Nevermore, Nile, Hate Eternal...obviously heavier stuff. I just heard some new Static-X songs on their Myspace site, and there are actual solos, and some of them are actually not bad at all...have they had solos throughout their career, or is this a new thing?

Seriously though, I don't know how Static-X gets off so much on writing simple BORING repetitive rhythms, and using like two chords in an entire song.

Haha, what was that Soulfly song with Fred Durst called? Was it "Pain"? It's funny thinking how that seemed like an alright guest at the time. But geez, what in the world ever happened to Fred Durst?

Not a fan of this album or their previous one. However, my favorite album by them (other than their first) is the one that fans tend to hate the most - "Shadow Zone." Give it a chance - the songs are more complex and Wayne can actually sing killer melodic vocals. I guess the fans weren't into that - so here we are with the last two albums being more paint-by-numbers.
