Anyone know if there is a website that lists old tours of bands? I have been trying to list the bands I saw and who were the opening acts but I am having a bitch of a time finding the information. I have some of the ticket stubs but others were tickets that I won and other stubs I lost.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Some bands official websites list their past tours, maybe a place to start anyway. Good luck!

Nice Avatar and I lost my stubs

Anyway good luck.

If you get stuck post some years\bands and I migh be able to give you some input at least how those tours looked in LA\OC. :headbang:

There's an idea...give us some of the bands and years...maybe someone here can remember some of the opening acts!:)

I tried writing it down, but lost that and now can't remember everyone. Damn I have spent alot of money on shows!!

Today I was able to figure most of the ones that I have ticket stubs for but here are the ones that I am having trouble with:

Offspring in 1997
Faith No More in 1997
Metallica in 1998
Metallica in 1997

There are other bands I saw that I don't have stubs for and can't even remember the years I went and saw them.

A friend of my husband's just went to his 2000th show. I was happy I was up to about 50. I need to make up for about the 5 years I went without going to shows. That was a sad time in my life.

You lost all your stubs? That sucks. I'm usually a pack rat so the fact that I lost them really irritates me.

I have most of the stubs, damn if I know where they are, but I know they are in a box somewhere. Usually the Stubs don't say the opening acts, which sucks!

Thanks!

Last year I was happy to find old flyers only to have them accidentally thrown out by the wife. She got no flowers that weekend.

I don't remember the 90s tours you mentioned. I can probably only help from like 84/85 to 92. :zombie:

Oh no. In '92, my husband was leaving for the military. He wasn't my husband then, though. lol. Anyway, he packed up all his cassettes in boxes marked with his name. His grandmother threw them out on him and he lost upwards of 200 cassettes, a denim vest with the Speak English or Die cover and a denim vest with a Overkill on the back. Personally I wouldn't speak to that grandmother ever again but he has a much more forgiving heart than me. lol

My first tour wasn't until 89 (Motley Crue and Warrant). My mother was VERY strict. I wanted to go to see Stryper with my friend (she really liked them, I didn't) and her mom who used to go to church every weekend and got straight As but that wasn't happening until I was 16. My brother, on the other hand, went to see Metallica with his friend and his friend's pot smoking brother when he was 12. I asked me mom why the difference. She said because he is a guy. OMG, did that piss me off.

Damn...that was my first show too!!!

Anyway, I've done a little research and I found out that The Offspring toured with AFI and L7 in 1997, and Metallica toured with Korn in January of 1997 and Corrosion Of Conformity after that. I don't know if this helps or not. Their may have been other tours that I didn't find.

I sometimes keep my ticket stubs but then again... I usually throw them away.

I have only every been to a handful of concerts - say about 20 or so ... pretty crap really.

Wow 200 cassettes. Come to think of it I'm missing some too. Crazy Grandmas

My first show was in 1984 on Rush's G/P tour with Garry Moore opening. :zombie:

The Faith No More-site Faith No More used to have list of most past gigs but i don´t know if it´s still there.

Oh, here is a place with old stuff! http://www.negele.org/db/

Thanks bunches. I didn't see what I was looking for but someone told me they toured with Limp Bizket when I went so that's what I'm going with. I really like the FAQs page they have there. It looks like a good idea for a band to do that, especially one that has been around for a while.
