Oh no.
In '92, my husband was leaving for the military. He wasn't my husband then, though. lol. Anyway, he packed up all his cassettes in boxes marked with his name. His grandmother threw them out on him and he lost upwards of 200 cassettes, a denim vest with the Speak English or Die cover and a denim vest with a Overkill on the back. Personally I wouldn't speak to that grandmother ever again but he has a much more forgiving heart than me. lol
My first tour wasn't until 89 (Motley Crue and Warrant). My mother was VERY strict. I wanted to go to see Stryper with my friend (she really liked them, I didn't) and her mom who used to go to church every weekend and got straight As but that wasn't happening until I was 16. My brother, on the other hand, went to see Metallica with his friend and his friend's pot smoking brother when he was 12. I asked me mom why the difference. She said because he is a guy. OMG, did that piss me off.
