Well holly shit!
I now understand why The Gathering sounds so huge! I'm sure alot of credit goes to Andy for it's sonic kick-ass-dness, but the band really have their shit together! The best way i could describe the sound, and the experiance as a whole would be to say that the music was crushing. Chuck had us in the palm of his hand as of the first song. It was the few beats/ bars of silence in some of their songs which did infact seem deafening! It tore your face off, and the band came back in to throw it back on.
I know it sounds stupid, but seriously, that has to be one of the best gigs I've ever seen. The stage sound was insane!
Andy has good fortune to have been able to work with bands so talented.

Heres a few happy snaps from after the show:

Dude! Fucking nice!

How was Testament with Barker? I can only imagine it to be completely badass. Was he triggering EVERYTHING as usual?

I don't actually think there were any triggers at all. I can't say that I was looking at the kit that much, cos the lighting around the kit didn't make it easy to see it in detail. It sounded pretty natural.
His playing was great, but that just made his mistakes even more obvious. There weren't too many, though.
