Manowar doesn't!

Amazing that they cancelled their shows stating they want to focus on making the next studio album. Guess this is what happens when they charge $90 a ticket and exexperience poor ticket sales.

Kings of Refunds!

the Chicago show in Feb this year was packed and hundreds couldn't even get in so the low ticket sale thing wasn't the issue here. Can't speak for the other cities but even when the Detroit show was cancelled in Feb tons came down to the chicago show...they were given merch bags with 200 bucks of merch in it from t-shirts, cd's, a poster and some patches....not too bad of a deal. While I won't ever see them again at that price I was glad I saw the show.

Sigh. Starting to get frustrated. Given no hint as to a reschedule, I will probably just try to get my money back and figure I'll never see Manowar live. Tickets are too expensive and the band is simply unreliable. I can deal with one but both is just expecting too much from the fan base. I'll give it up to a month for some scheduling but I doubt they have their act together enough to provide any additional information.

The cancellation/postponement has already been out since September 5, so I'm not expecting anything.

Truth. I guess if nothing is announced by the end of the month, I will start trying to figure out the refund process. Probably impossible...

Credit card charge backs.
Don't charge back unless it become absolutely necessary. It hurts the venue or ticket company you bought your tickets through, and it's not their fault that Manowar cancelled. If they're unwilling or unable to issue a refund, then absolutely dispute the charge. Just don't do it out of spite, you'd be hurting the wrong party.

Chargebacks are really a matter of fraud prevention. Abusing that system will put you in a bad standing with credit card companies.

I'm probably too damned lazy to pursue a refund. Anyway, as expensive as the tickets were for this "tour," my guess is they will only be pricier next time so if my current ticket will get honored for a Manowar concert that actually happens, then I am likely better off to hold on to it.

Still, it feels like paying your taxes early and letting the government (in this case Manowar) get the benefit of interest rather than yourself.
