Messiah's Kiss - Metal. A slight let down on their last effort, but not as bad as I was led to believe.

Hmmm. Haven't listened to Gaskill yet. The Queensryche album is a little pedestrian. I'm really not sure why they keep going, to be honest with you.

Actually I've picked up even more than that lately. That's from just one package I got on Friday. Mostly the packages I get are about 20% awesome, 30% decent and 50% rubbish or worse, but this time almost all of it is great.

Ask Xena about that one. The only track of it I've heard so far is the power ballad, and that sort of just disappeared into the background as I was doing something else.

Nah, Skinny Puppy has been around for 20 years or so. They're sort of experimental industrial metal new-wave punk.

Finding myself in desperate need of some retail therapy yesterday, I went shopping and also have a small haul...

Metallica - Ride the Lightning. Because it's WELL past time for me to actually own a copy of this.
Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss. Spawn, I'm digging it - you're off the hook
Dead Soul Tribe - A Murder of Crows. I already knew most of this and I love Devon Greaves, so I've been wanting a copy for ages.
Enchant - Blink of an Eye. I'm not liking this as much as I thought I would, for some reason, but I haven't had a chance to really listen yet.

So I went two old-school thrash albums and two new-school prog albums
