Hi everyone!

After not playing guitar in over 10 years, I can happily say I am back. I have suffered from Carpel Tunnel Syndrome in both writsts my whole adult life but by the time I hit my mid 40's, I had to give it up because I could bear it any longer. I turned to playing keyboards which my hands could handle because of different postion but the music was just not the same.

About 2 years ago I got a very bad pinched nerve in my neck (which they wanted to operate on and I did not let them) and through the use of massage, yoga and stretches, had cured the piched nerve and as well found my hands getting better as well. I went from not being able to play for more than a couple of minutes before my hands were completely dead to now playing for almost and hour and half before any tingling starts. Nice!:kickass:

Anyway, catching up with the new bands I never heard of. Thanks to Moochie, I have picked up on bands like Lamb of God, Opeth, Deftones, Animals as Leaders, Meshuggah, in addition to bands I had listened to like Metallica, Godsmack, Tool, Rammstein, Soulfly and of course Black Sabbath and Judas Priest.

Seems like there is lot more sub genres out there I need to learn.

Hope to be jumping in soon to lots of forums with a bunch of questions but for now I gotta get my gear back in shape. Even though I gave up playing, I never sold my guitars so the need some serious TLC after 10+ years of sitting around.
