Overkill - "Bring Me the Night"

Sweet! Already have my flight to Austin booked to see them for the first time in 15 years, can't wait. Has anyone heard Bobby's side project, The Cursed? Any good?

yeah, album kick ass! anyone having problems ripping it into their computer? or just me? keeps messing up my computer and component CD player around the 8th track. was going to return it, but if all the discs are like i will keep it. i burned it on my component cd burner and the CD burned into my computer fine. it's weird.

I just recently got into this band with this new disc coming out. Those of you who are more familiar with their catalog, what are your suggestions in terms of picking up?

In order:

1. Taking Over
2. Feel the Fire
3. The Years of Decay

I also started with Taking Over when I got into them. Be warned, those working backwards from the new album that their early albums are more melodic and not as aggressive, but they pack lots of that Overkill attitude.
The Years of Decay is one of their best albums.

For older albums that are more similar to the new one, WFO and Horroscope are good ones.

I'm partial to one of their less-liked albums which is From the Underground and Below. More grooving than thrashy, extremely heavy, intense riffs, and a really good ballad. It's from 1997.

Yep, had a huge problem. Heard all the complaints but tried it anyways. It actually worked for the first 8 tracks, but once it got to track 9 my computer went ballistic and stalled. I may just purchase the final 2 tracks on mp3 or something.

1. Horrorscope
2. The Killing Kind
3. WFO
4. Wrecking Your Neck (2 CD live album, a very good sampling of early material.

Update: so while I was able to get 8 tracks into itunes and my ipod, upon listening to them, parts were VERY fuzzy, and when I downloaded the other two tracks off Amazon, those were fuzzy as well. There must be something in this recording that does not translate well digitally. Do others have this problem? Also, has anyone found a place where to download this, where it actually sounds good?
