this disc fuckn shreds. If you liked bloodletting, you won't be disappointed. It has the same production too = I was hopin for it to be a little faster, but none the less, still a great album. One of my favs so far this year.
Overkill has never failed us. Will get this one quick.
What do they have now, about 50 albums? I have every one but one of the early live records.
Too bad they're an East Coast band -- I saw them only once, in '86 with Megadeth at this small bar here in town that has since been razed. Hopin' they start touring again to support this new one.
Horrorscope is by far their best -- New Machine rocks.
i heard a few songs and it sounds pretty good to me.
i havnt heard any of their albums since the killing kind which i thought was sub-par but i just bought their live 2 disc dvd and have this renewed enthuisiasm for some overkill.
years of decay is their best imo.
how are the 3 albums they put out after the killing kind?
"Bloodletting" is pretty solid...more thrash, less groove, but kind of slow in spots. Haven't heard the other two.
I've heard four tracks from KB13..."Unholy" seems to be the best of them; "No Lights" has some very good vox. "Struck Down" and "I Rise" are decent too. I'll buy it tomorrow and see how the rest sounds.
Just got it. Pretty killer shit...Devil By the Tail has some really good riffage in the breakdown, but could stand to be a bit faster. Unholy and No Lights are probably the best tracks, but I'm partial to Damned...don't feel like doing an in-depth review, so I'll give it ***3/4 out of ***** (better than I expected.)
