Glenn, if you or anyone associated with setting up for the show should find time to read this as busy as you all are please save us! Putting those spotlights on the drum platform and shining 2000 lumens into the audience's eyes is not a good idea.

It may not seem such a big thing, and in truth they're not too bad when green or orange, but those lights are a killer when they shine white directly into the eyes. A lot of the people in the seats were grumbling about them, and frequently had to put a hand in front of their eyes to block the glare.

Thanks.

Similarly, I felt that way about the camera boom. It was a pretty big distraction/obstruction IMO. Although, I dont really expect anything to be done about it at this point.
I was putting up with it last night, because I know once I see the video (as I'm sure it will be awesome), I will be thankful that it was there. At the time, though, I would have rather had the less obstructive camera crew like there was in previous years.

Same. I was sitting on the right side (facing the stage), and while I didn't sit to the far right for that reason, it still was obstructive at times. But I mostly had to shift position to see, so it wasn't horrible.

The lights didn't bother me.. because I wasn't in the 'middle', but damn.. do I hate it when the lights shine on the crowd and bilnd me. I don't get the point. Don't they want me to see the stage? ;p

I was seated on the same side as all of you... about midway between dead center and completely right. Those lights were killer... especially when they were on for an extended duration. I could have worn sunglasses inside.

NO SHIT!

Those goddamn stage spotlights have GOT TO GO!!

Glenn - if you're reading this thread, do us a favor...

KILL THE GODDAMN STAGE SPOTLIGHTS THAT ARE AIMED AT THE AUDIENCE!

I'm seriously considering NOT coming to PP next year because of the damn lights. F**ing annoying!!!

SkiBumMSP and I were sitting to the right of the stage just under the boom camera. It was annoying enough because its right on a main passageway to the outside corridor, but the lights have GOT TO GO!

Feedback read. However, we are in the process of a HD dvd shoot and the lights are necessary as it is too late to reprogram them.

As for the boom camera being obstructive, there were plenty of seats on the other side of the venue throughout the show.

And please..don't take this as me being a smartass or being insensitive as I really do try to make things good....but this is a metal show.
