Paradise Lost (By Symphony X)

I'm sure I wasn't the only one who got this today. What do you all think? I really like the darker feel of this album. I've only listened to it once through so far but it sounds great. Easily my favorite Symphony X album to date. Can't wait to see them live for the first time when they come home to Jersey this summer.

Symphony X's V: The Mythology Suite is such a crazy album. Everyone should read the story behind the album, its practically the whole run down of the legend of Atlantis...and the music is awesome

It's my current favorite, but PL (which is fucking awesome btw) might take it's place at the top.

Nope, it's a concept album based off the story.

Awesome album. Tracks like Domination and Paradise Lost are among the best of Symphony X.

Paradise Lost also reminds of Communion and the Oracle a lot for some reason.

yeah, and this record is better than Odyssey

Paradise Lost is based on the writings of 16th century writer John Milton. Milton wrote books-"Paradise Lost" and Paradise Regained." If there is a concept to this album, I was told it's based off of Milton's writing.

This is the only SX album I enjoy. Domination, Serpent's Kiss, and Set the World on Fire are all very fun

Paradise Lost > V but < DWOT and = Odyssey imo. Walls of Babylon is one fucking awesome song. I'll be getting it soon... sooooon.

I went to buy this today but my local store is all sold out, which bodes well for the band if people in eastern maine have heard of them.
