Has anyone heard this yet? His new single caught my attention and I think a lot of the power/heavy metal fans of this board are going to be all over this big time:

Pretty awesome, I was a fan of their song, far away. I just wish the guitarist laid into the solo a bit more.... There is a calling for shredddddd

What the living fuck, epilepsy warning much? Who the fuck thought this video was a good idea? Dude can't sing, music is generic and boring. This is pretty terrible.

Note To Self: If nailz thinks that Mario Pastore "can't sing" place ALL of his future musical opinions on the 'ignore' list.

Seriously, that has to be one of the most idiotic statements I've ever read on any public forum. Say what you will about their music - it is rather generic thrashy power metal - but that guy is an AWESOME vocalist with an amazing future ahead of him. The disc should move some numbers just based on the strength of his singing alone.

The vocals had to grow on me, but the music is quite good. Through the first 30 seconds I was with nailz, but it got better as I got into the song.

Dude. I wasn't responding to "his vocals had to grow on me". I was responding to "dude can't sing".

I'll say it again - Mario Pastore has a monster set of pipes. I will defend that assertion against all naysayers.

The band's music? Again - as previously stated - rather standard power metal fare imo. But the singing? Another level entirely.

Have any of you actually listened to the entire disc? I can hear more than just a little similarity between Mario's voice and Apollo Papathanasio. Same kind of really gutsy tone. Seriously. Just listen to 'Empty World' or 'Night And Day' and tell me this guy "can't sing".

LOL nailz is a very good friend of mine, but I agree with you. Not to like something is one thing. To say he "can't sing" is stupid.

I don't think this is a top 10 of the year release, but I think it's a solid piece of power/heavy metal with a singer that has a crazy long career and amazing technique, like him or not.

I just think it's okay. I don't think he's as great though as some of you think. Idk what it is. Something about his high end bugs me, almost like it needs to be louder. His mid-range is very good though.

Again, I'm not responding to "I don't think he's as great as some of you think". I'm responding to "this guy can't sing". I have NO objection to anyone saying "I personally don't care for this style of singing" or "I don't like the way he hits the high notes" - all of those are perfectly valid statements of preference. But saying Mario can't sing isn't a statement of preference - it's a statement of ignorance. I mean, the guy's a freakin' vocal COACH for cryin' out loud - his client list reads like a Who's Who of metal vocalists - Edu Falaschi, Danilo Herbert, Fernando Melo, etc.

You really gotta give a listen to some of the other songs on the disc. I could seriously hear him singing with some 'name' power metal or prog metal act. He's that good imo. If he doesn't end up being invited to sing on other "projects" after this disc gets heard, then I'll eat my words.

I like the vocals, I think the music is pretty generic for the most part. Hopefully there are some better songs on the album

I've only been spinning 4 albums so far this weekend....this bad boy along with the new Firewind, Empires Of Eden, and Nightmare.

Pastore can't sing? Bwahahahahaha! Yea neither can Halford, or Scheepers....
