I was involved with Em Sinfonia for the first EP, "In Mournins Symphony". We were recording our EP, "For Every Leaf That Falls" with Brian Griffin (Broken Hope) in hos studio, and he told us about the project. He asked me if I would sing for it and if Mary would play bass. We both agreed, and recorded the EP with them. Later, the band wanted to take a more full time approach, and we couldn't divide the time between Novembers Doom and Em Sinfonia, so Mary and I left the project, and Brian found some new people and recorded the full length, "Intimate Portrait". The first EP we played on, is along the lines of Death/Doom with split female vocals, and keys. It was fun doing, and it came out cool. I'm a bigger fan of the EP, than the full length, but that might have something to do me being involved with it, although, Brians vocals on the full length are really quite good!
