Well Bert, you're not going to be disappointed cos they're not doing those songs in December!!!!!!!. I'm absolutely gutted cos those 3 songs were the ones that I was desperate to hear, and in fact those basically are the only 3 songs that I really like and since they're not doing them at all, I'm seriously thinking of selling my ticket. They're doing the whole of the new album - yes the WHOLE OF THE NEW ALBUM - which is bad news for me since I don't think its up to much.

I was out last Friday seeing 3 bands and in between the bands coming on some Maiden concert was being shown on big screen and to hear Bruce doing Running Free and Sanctuary was just too horrific for words:puke: .

Are they playing the whole album in one go, or just mixed up amongst other songs? Some good songs on the new album, but quite a bit of filler on it too. So a bit stupid to do the whole album live in my opinion.

***DONT READ THIS IS YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW MAIDEN'S SET LIST FOR THE DECEMBER CONCERTS***

....................................................................................................

Here's the setlist which Maiden played on 4th October. I'm not impressed by this setlist one bit, in fact I think most of it SUCKS. Very disappointed.

01. Different World
02. These Colours Don't Run
03. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
04. Pilgrim
05. Longest Day
06. Out of the Shadows
07. Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
08. For the Greater Good of God
09. Lord of Light
10. Legacy
11. Fear of the Dark
12. Iron Maiden
---------------------
13. 2 Minutes to Midnight
14. The Evil that Men Do
15. Hallowed Be Thy Name

So what do you all think of that then????

Oh no !! The whole new album from start to finish ! I'm not too keen on the new album either !

I am seeing Maiden in Cardiff, Birmingham and London and I think it is box office collection of tickets - so I can't even sell them !!! However, Maiden always put on a great live show, so it may still be worth it. I better get to like "A Matter of Life and Death" before then, eh !!

Cheers,

Goss.

LOL I know Goss, as soon as I saw that setlist my first thought was to get my ticket on ebay RIGHT AWAY!!!!! I don't like the new album so for Maiden to do the entire album is disastrous - I mean not everyone thinks its brilliant, I know quite a few folk who think the same as me, that is it just bloody boring!!!!

WAs seriously thinking of selling my ticket and going to see Sensational Alex Harvey Band who are playing the same night but have discussed it with my friend, and we're just gonny to and see Maiden cos I'm sure they will put on a spectacular show, even though I don;t like a lot of those songs!!!! Bit of a letdown!!!

Sometimes though when you hear a song or songs live that you dont really like they can have more of an impact on you and you can end up really loving them....

Playing the whole new album is a bit excessive though, either they have a hell of a lot of confidence in it or they are determined for people to like it !

lol

Thanks for the setlist Princess. We haven't got tickets for the Maiden tour, and I can't say I'm that disappointed on reading that setlist!

I would still have liked to see them, just so that I've seen 'em..if that makes any sense? :D Some of their new songs have grown on me - not the whole album though!!

Hope you still manage to see The Sensational Alex Harvey Band some time soon, Princess. They still bring the house down !! Not much can beat the classic "Faith Healer" !!!!:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :Smokin:

Ref. The Maiden set list.

I said on another thread I've given up on them live. (which is a shame as they were a must go gig for me in the past)

They do put on a great show, that can't be denied. But their set lists are too rigid, there is no spontaneity.

Princess, i'm a HUGE Maiden fan so I might be biased but I must say I really love the new record and give the boys alof of credit for doing it in it's entirety because they truly believe in it:kickass:

I saw 3 shows over here and I must say that they sounded great and the crowd for the most part was into it.

I'm flying over to the Uk for both the Newcastle & Sheffield shows with a bunch of us and would love to meet you for a few pints if you're going to those?

The stage set was awesome! here are some pics of the show for you to look at if you'd like.
