pc recording studio progs?

can someone email me a good recording studio program? something that records songs for over 5 minutes, because windows recorder blows ass.an eq would be nice too. i just installed a mic and want to send dan (dream neon black_ a cover of tears of the dragon and want to mix it as well as record it on here.

I myself like the Sonic Foundry products, Sound Forge, Acid etc. they are cheap and easy to use and sound good. There is a commercial version available for like 50 bucks and then the PRO editions for like 200 or so.

I use them both and really enjoy them.

Cubase SX is good, but if your haven't use it before it can be a bit confusing. Cakewalk Sonar 2.2 is good also
