Never played it, thoguh going ob the clips i'd say it's more of a blues/ rock amp, though, having not played it myself i couldn't say for sure. If you play it and find it can't quite get the metal tones you like, the Peavey Triple XXX, JSX and 6505 are in similar price ranges, so check those out. I have the JSX and am more than happy with it.
