Heads or Combos

I've been looking into these amps as i'm looking into buying my first Valve amp that can handle modern Metal without loads of boost pedals or modifications.

I understand that these amps wont give me a Pro Tube sound but I really dont have the budget for things like the 5150's and Marshalls DSL's and i need something to gig/record with soon.

I would buy something second hand but, its getting harder to find anything worthwhile and im very sceptical of buying tube amps pre-owned as i have no prior experience of them!

Another reason that i am looking into these amps is because if i was gigging in a pub, i wouldnt want to take hugely expensive piece of equipment in - just for it to get drenched in pint of the local ale.

So yeah, please give me your Praise of this amp, or even reasons why i should stay the hell away from it!

There are some samples here If you can test them in a shop go do it, that's the easiest way to decide whether you want one or not

i played the 1x12 combo. i thought it sounded prewtty good for metal. alittle generic sounding overdrive though. if i didn't have the money for a 5150 combo, i would get the valveking.
