Pendragon - Men Who Climb Mountains

Playing it right now as I write this ..... it is definitely a cerebral disc and takes a LOT of sinking in. The band gets more and more modern as time goes on, and they do not open this disc very well with a folk-like song that isn't what they normally do. Also, so far it doesn't sound as heavy as their previous 2 discs. Then again, this is a story-telling band, and a bleak one at that judging by the lyrics.

The band is putting more emphasis on atmosphere and lyrics this time than heaviness or crazy musicianship (think Pure for instance) .......

After one pass thru this disc, I would say that you really have to be a serious Pendragon disc to really appreciate this one....."cerebral" is a good word to use in this case.
