I never knew they had made a movie based on the Japanese Unit 731, some sick things happened there and this seems pretty interesting if you are into that kind of stuff/history.

It's not actually a movie, it's more of a "snuff-video-art" film. There's a movie based on the Unit 731, it's the "Men Behind The Sun" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093170/
followed by 3 sequels.

I thought it was pretty crap to be honest. The dvd I saw had this long pretentious intro with the film makers talking about how great they were. Then the film started and it just seemed...pointless. It was a while ago, but I'm pretty sure I fell asleep less than one third of the way in.
