pickups for RG

hello,

so i'm recording a full length album of a pretty nice melodic metal band that came in my studio.

both of the guitarists have some tremolo basswood rg's with stock pups.

we are not really happy with the guitar sound so they're thinking to upgrade their guitars.

i told them instead of buying something better they could change the pickups.
but what pickups would you suggest for that type of guitar?

i will try to post some samples when we finish the tracking.
